I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
